Amanda’s inspiration to coach athletes stemmed from the early guidance she had from her high school running coach, Brother John Devoe. His belief in her as an athlete, as well as his encouragement, helped instill a self-confidence and work ethic that has remained with her throughout her life.

Her first coaching role was for the track & cross country team at Villa Julie College (now Stephenson University), a Division III school in Maryland. Seeking greater challenges, she later took on a Division I coaching role for the track and cross country team at Towson University (1997-98).  However, Amanda soon realized that her greatest potential to reach individuals was in the personal training arena.  Her ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and abilities, combined with her strong passion for helping them reach their goals, made her a natural in the business. In 2001 Amanda moved to Boulder and began a career as a full-time athlete and triathlon coach.  Since 2001, Amanda has helped countless individuals reach their triathlon goals. From toeing the line at their first sprint, to shaving hours off their personal best Ironman times, Amanda has thrived on instilling self-confidence and a good work ethic in her athletes.
